The club is based in Lancashire, their main rivals being Manchester United, Manchester City, Bury, Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic and Preston North End. Since 1997, the club has been playing its home games at the Reebok Stadium at nearby Horwich. Bolton have been struggling in the league so far, occupying one of the relegation places for much of the season.
