Everton FC: Founded in 1878
Manager: Ronald Koeman
Everton Football Club are aiming for a European place with their current squad. Players such as Ashley Williams in defense, Ross Barkley in midfield and Romelu Lukaku at top have made them a formidable side that teams will find hard to break down. The summer change of managers meant Ronald Koeman had to bring fresh blood to reinvent the squad and with Yanick Bolasie becoming their marquee signing, Ronald will want to really show off his potential. Romelu Lukaku has been the blues best player and will want to prove to everyone that he's capable of producing in the top games.
It's clear Everton have been under performing in recent years but manager Ronald Koeman knows how important it is to win and play good football at the same time. Everton have been consistent so far in the season but they are capable of some sub-par performances such as losing to newly promoted Bournemouth and drawing to Crystal Palace. Everton need to find their identity.
Their campaign has been enjoyable for many Everton fans, however the lack of wins would be concerning forEverton fans and they need to stop the rut or they will slip lower from the league but the Everton supporters want and still expect a strong season from the blue.
Liverpool FC: Founded in 1892
Manager: Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool Football Club have been this seasons team to watch, their vibrant and quick football has not been matched and leaves the Reds as one of this seasons title contenders. Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Saido Mane have all been impressive as their partnership flourishes and strengthens with every game. However conceding has been their ultimate problem, with only one clean sheet this season it seems teams can get goals against them but the question is, can other teams score more than Liverpool?
Matches that should have been easy for Liverpool become nervy and if they do want to win the league, clean sheets are a must. But the spirit of Jurgen Klopp is all Liverpool need to fuel their incredible campaign. The energetic German has transferred his energy to his players and Liverpool are running and don't seem to stop. This Liverpool side are hardworking and aggressive which they need to maintain throughout the season because teams will punish their poor defense.
Corners are a weak spot which Liverpool must eradicate, teams are looking to get corners because they know they will score, West Brom being an example. In the campaign so far Liverpool have shown they can handle the little teams, something they have struggled with for a couple of years and now they are giving the big guns a run for their money. So far Liverpool have beaten and enjoyed hard earned points from their title rivals, exceptional wins at Arsenal and Chelsea are balanced by hard earned points at Tottenham and Manchester United which has given more hope to the Liverpool supporters.
